Limitless Character creation. With 240 cards in the core deck, Sparks offers over a quarter of a billion possible combinations, each sparking the seed of a unique character. From that spark, you build as much depth and background as you desire. By highlighting just a few key areas of expertise, you give your character an edge in play - gaining advantages when the story calls upon their skills.
Resolution is dynamic and alive. When your character takes action, you describe what you’re aiming to achieve, draw a card, and let the word on it guide the outcome - whether triumphant, disastrous, or somewhere in between. Drawing with advantage expands possibilities, and cards kept in reserve can flip the story in dramatic ways. The core deck consists of 360 cards and flavoured decks for different genres add depth to gameplay.
